According to the inaugural meeting for the publicity and implementation of Regulations on Animal Epidemic Prevention in Zhejiang and the promotion year for the scientific prevention of animal epidemics held on February 21, Regulations on Animal Epidemic Prevention in Zhejiang has been deliberated and passed at the 21st Session of the 11th Standing Committee of the Provincial People s Congress and is to come into effect as of March 1. Mr. Cheng Weishan, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People s Congress attended the meeting.
Animal epidemic prevention is not only concerned with the production safety in animal husbandry but also related to public health security. On the basis of Animal Epidemic Prevention Law and in combination with practical situations in Zhejiang, Regulations on Animal Epidemic Prevention in Zhejiang highlights its pertinence and applicability. Furthermore, it deals with every aspect of the production in animal husbandry and the whole process of animal breeding, operating, processing and transportation.
