An interesting meteorological phenomenon was witnessed in Jiaxing, Huzhou, Hangzhou and Shaoxing on February 14th, when sunshine and snow flurries alternated within a single day. As explained by meteorologists, such a rare scene was caused by a special snowy cloud of uneven thickness. While some of the sunbeam penetrated the thin layers of the cloud, some was blocked when passing through the thick layers and snow flurries fell instead.
Due to the annoying weak cold air and frequent drizzles, the weather for the coming few days will still feature coldness and gloominess. The lovely days during the Spring Festival are not to be expected in the Lantern s Festival which is just around the corner.
