The 4th Hangzhou Bamboo Shoot Festival was declared open on the morning of 6th March. Cheng Weishan, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People s Congress, and Chen Yanhua, Vice-Chairman of Zhejiang Provincial CPPCC attended the opening ceremony.
This Bamboo Shoot Festival is to be held at Penggong Bamboo Product Commerce and Trade Market in Yuhang from 6th March to 9th March with the theme of Bamboo Industry Publicity, Bamboo Culture Promotion, Bamboo Economy Development . A series of activities will be held in order to promote the transformation and upgrading of bamboo industry such as Bamboo Product Trade Exposition, Bamboo Product Trade Fair, Bamboo Industry Development Forum and so on.
