2011 China (Xiaoshan) Flower and Plant Festival and the Sixth China Garden and Afforestation Trade Fair were held in Huamucheng of Zhejiang Province on 5th March. Xia Baolong, Deputy Secretary of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee declared the opening of the festival. Zhang Jianlong, Deputy Director of the State Forestry Administration, and Zhejiang provincial leaders such as Cheng Weishan and Chen Yanhua attended the opening ceremony.
Since the establishment of the festival in 2004, Xiaoshan Flower and Plant Festival has become an afforestation plant exposition of brand names of the largest scale and the highest level, with the most profit and the greatest impact in the whole country. The total sales value of the former seven festivals has exceeded 2 billion yuan and the festival has been promoted to the national level this year.
The Flower and Plant Festival will be held for two days with 2272 booths, attracting more than 850 famous enterprises at home and abroad. This festival especially adds the modern flower facilities exhibition area, plant sculpture exhibition area, exquisite decoration area and so on. At the opening ceremony, a series of prizes were awarded including 2010 China Top Ten Annual Figures in the Flower and Plant Industry, 2010 China Top Ten Flower and Plant Enterprises.
