According to the provincial work safety work conference held on March 2, in the year of 2010, Zhejiang continued to carry out intensive activities related to Year of Work Safety and deepen Three Actions (law enforcement, rectification and control, promotion and education) and Three Improvements (improvement of work safety legal system, structures and mechanisms, improvement of support capacity, improvement of work safety personnel), with top priority to precaution and focus on strengthening supervision and undertaking responsibilities.
The three work safety index, including the number of work safety accidents, death toll and direct economic loss, achieved zero growth for seven consecutive years.
In addition, there was no major accident with a death toll of over 10 persons in the whole province last year, which had never happened in the past ten years. This achievement signals the successful completion of work safety targets during the Eleventh Five-year period.
