Zhao Hongzhu, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress met Italian Consul-General to Shanghai de Luca and his party on the afternoon of March 15th. Li Qiang, member of the Provincial Standing Committee and Secretary-General attended the meeting.
Zhao Hongzhu extended welcome to the visit of de Luca and briefed the guests on the economic and social development of Zhejiang. He said that Italy plays an important role in Sino-Europe relations, and Zhejiang has been striving to promote the practical cooperation between two sides in various fields and has made significant achievements; in 2011, the starting year for Zhejiang to implement its 12th Five-Year Plan , Zhejiang would continue to promote exchange and cooperation between Zhejiang and Italy in economy and trade, technology, culture and other fields.

Mr. de Luca expressed appreciation for Zhejiang s hospitality and promised to spare no effort to promote the exchange and cooperation between Italy and Zhejiang in various fields.
