Due to the weather, the picking time for Longjing spring tea would be a bit later than usual this year, around the end of this month, according to the Press Conference held in Hangzhou today.

Shang Jiannong, Director of the West Lake Longjing Tea Industry Association, said the picking time for the early-ripe Longjing 43 was about to start around March 25 and the full-scale picking would be postponed to the period before and after the Qingming Festival. A big temperature difference between morning and evening in recent days is quite favorable for upgrading the quality of Longjing tea.
