On March 28, Vice Governor Gong Zheng met in Hangzhou with Diego Alvarado, Consul General of Peru in Shanghai, and his delegation.
It had been Consul General Alvarado s first time business visit to Zhejiang Province since he took office. Gong Zheng offered a welcome to the visitors, and introduced the general information about economic and social development in Zhejiang, especially that about the achievements in coping with international financial crisis and transforming the economic development modes. He said that Zhejiang attaches great importance to the development of friendship with Peru. There is a great potential for economy and trade cooperation between the two parties, which are complementary in trade, resources and agriculture and so on. He expressed hopes that future exchanges between the two parties will bring mutual development through exerting their own advantages, deepening the cooperation and promoting the complementarity.
