On 4th, part of the guests attending theme forum of Expo Shanghai on "Environmental Change and City Responsibility" were led to visit Zhongshan scenery area, Nanjing Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Green Software Park.

Daniel J. Dudek, chief economist of Environmental Defense was deeply attracted by the ancient trees along the sacred way of Zhongshanling. He said, despite of hot weather in Nanjing, he felt very pleasant walking under such a green corridor, which cannot be seen in New York. "Nanjing has very good landscaping. The Purple Mountain is beautiful and unique, which is an environmental advantage of Nanjing," Dudek said, these results cannot be obtained without attention and caring of Nanjing local government on environment.

In Yuhua Software Park, guests were wowed by the "laser projection phenomena" and attracted by the beautiful view around. "It is different from the economic development boosted by heavy industries in the past. Software industry not only yield production value, but also leave a beautiful environment to us," many guests said.

Professor Susan Brownell of the University of Missouri, St. Louis came to Nanjing once in the winter of 1985. After 25 years, changes of Nanjing are far beyond her imagination. She felt delighted seeing the beautiful landscaping and convenient public transport such as metro. 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games should be a green event. Professor Brownell thinks that Nanjing should take the Youth Olympics as an opportunity, implement green environmental protection on urban renovation and public transport and deliver trainings at middle schools and primary schools to enhance environmental protection awareness of the public.
