On the afternoon of March 31, the opening ceremony of Shaanxi Pavilion of Shanghai World Expo was held at the Chinese Pavilion at the Expo Park. Jing Junhai, vice-governor of Shaanxi Province, Wang Jinzhen, member of the Organizing Committee of Shanghai World Expo and vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Huang Jianzhi, deputy director general of the Shanghai World Expo Bureau, attended the event and delivered speeches. They also lifted the curtain of Shaanxi Pavilion together.
Shaanxi Pavilion covers a total floor area of 600 square meters. The pavilion takes humanism trip to Chang an as the theme, Huaqi Pool, Huaqing Pool and the Song of Eternal Sorrow as the main contents, and the imperial park Huaqing Pool as the antitype, and fully showcases the history and culture with ancient Chang an as the background.
Humanistic clue is taken to connect the four parts of demonstration contents, i.e. 1,000-year imperial city, 1,000-li Qinling, 1,000-year culture and 1,000-person lineup, so as to build up the brand image of humanistic Shaanxi and beautiful landscape of Qinling Mountain and showcase the historical landscape and humanistic symbol of Shaanxi to the world.
In his speech, Jing Junhai said that Shaanxi Province is an important cradle land of Chinese civilization, and has massive valuable historical and cultural relics. Jing Junhai said that he is confident to make Shaanxi Pavilion a highlight of the World Expo Shanghai, and enable the pavilion to become a window to showcase Shaanxi to the world and expand opening of Shaanxi.
Jing Junhai welcomed domestic and overseas friends to visit Shaanxi for sightseeing and negotiation. When visiting employees from Shaanxi for World Expo Shanghai, Jing Junhai said that it is only one month to the opening of World Expo. He hoped that all staff could cooperate with each other closely and do a better job in rehearsal and preparation work.
Jing Junhai also attended the completion ceremony of Daming Palace construction case as the best practice area of Shanghai World Expo. It is noted that Shaanxi Pavilion is the first provincial exhibition hall completed in the Chinese Pavilion. Daming Palace is the only material case to showcase efforts of cultural relics protection.
