Xi an Constructs International Business and Trade Base

On May 6, the Xi an International Business and Trade Base with the total investment of five billion yuan broke ground at the Daxin New District in ancient city Xi an.

The Xi an International Business and Trade Base covers a total planned floor area of 482 mu, and the construction area of over 120 square meters. The project was initiated by the China International Cooperation Organization for Renewable Energies under the approval of the Xi an Municipal People s Government, and will be constructed under the cooperation mode in which international organization builds up the platform, local government provides resources and enterprises operate the project.

Xi an International Business and Trade Base will construct three major areas and three centers in line with the objectives of constructing an international market, an R&D center and an external entity . The three areas and centers are international procurement and transaction area, international business area, international auxiliary area and international financial service center, international business consultation center and international logistics service center.

An international high-end city synthesis with multiple industrial statuses such as large-sized shopping center, star-rated cinema, international excellent product supermarket, office building and apartment will be constructed.

Tong Jiandong, Chairman of the China International Cooperation Organization for Renewable Energies, indicated that the international business and trade base will be constructed into a base for international business and trade as well as procurement of industrial products that starts from Xi an, radiates to China and serves for member states of related international organization.

It is noted that the base can accommodate nearly 1,000 business and trade enterprises. After completion, it will become the window for Xi an to carry out multilateral cooperation and a platform for construction of international metropolis.

China International Cooperation Organization for Renewable Energies is a public-welfare organization that aims at promoting the development of local, low-cost renewable energy. Now, it has member states such as China, India, Australia and Brazil.
