On Feb. 22nd, in Chengdu, Wei Hong, deputy governor of Sichuan met with Mr. Hajba Tamas, the new Hungary consul general in Chongqing. They exchanged ideas on how to promote communication and cooperation between Sichuan and Hungary.
Wei Hong introduced the condition of Sichuan s post-disaster reconstruction and economic and social development to Mr. Hajba. Wei said that cooperation between Sichuan and Hungary has good foundation and presents good momentum. He hoped that this time s visit of Mr. Hajba will further boost exchange and cooperation between the two sides. He also invited Hungary to organize related enterprises to take part in this year s Western China International Fair.
Mr. Hajba said with the rapid economic growth of Sichuan in recent years, Hungary and Sichuan have many opportunities to cooperate in economy and trade area and have broad cooperative prospect in areas like automobile manufacturing, high and new technology, green technology, education, culture and tourism. He hoped more Sichuan enterprises will seek development in Hungary.
