Wei Liucheng, Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee met with Victor Restis, Chief Executive Officer of Restis Group, and his entourages in the reception room of the Provincial office in the morning of November 24th.
Restis Group, with the history of nearly a hundred years, had eight listed companies, whose business covered the fields of shipping, shipbuilding, banking, real estate, tourism, aviation, culture and media, etc.
This was the third visit that Mr. Restis and his team came to Hainan within half a year. On the basis of the deep investigation of Hainan in the first two times, Mr. Restis brought a planning proposal of a small town full of European style even Mediterranean style, and he expressed that he wished to rebuild a small town similar to Silicon Valley of America with the integration of leisure and holiday, education, medical treatment, science and technology, culture and sports competition, which was attractive to tourists all over the world.
He meantime expressed the eager desire of participating in Hainan International Tourism Destination construction.
After listening to the report of project planning, Wei Liucheng expressed the thanks to Mr. Restis s hospitality and sincerity of participating in the construction of Hainan International Tourism Island. He said, to construct the Mediterranean-style small town with the integration of leisure and holiday, education, medical treatment, science and technology, culture and sports competition conformed to the overall requirement of Hainan International Tourism Island and would be the important element of it.
He hoped that Restis Group could study and specified fatherly the planning proposal for the matching with planning of selected city. He meantime required that the related departments should have good matching with Restis Group, and should provide with good service and actively pushed the primary work of project.
