Three charted flights had brought over 1000 Chinese citizens back to Guangzhou, China on March 1 and 2. Another charted plane is expected to arrive in Guangzhou at 00:30 March 3.

The CZ2061 and the CZ2006 landed at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at14:30 pm and 17:45 pm March 1 respectively while the CZ2018 arrived in Guangzhou March 2 morning.

A man surnamed Yu said he was very satisfied with the arrangements made by the Chinese Embassy in Libya." We have stayed in the Five-star hotel for five days before boarding the plane, after more than ten hours' flight, Yu is tired, but "It is great to be home", he said, "and don't worry, because our country is doing great job in evacuation efforts."

Another Chinese evacuee from Henan province Mr. Zhu is back on his wheelchair. He had an injury during his construction project in Libya and was in hospital before boarding the plane, "I work in Libya for one year, now it's great to be home." He said in relief.

The Chinese evacuees were greeted at the airport by members of Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office (GDFAO). GDFAO had made careful preparations for their arrivals by contacting their companies, simplifying entry procedures and making food and lodging. At 7:00 PM Tuesday, 196 people were sent back to Wuhan by five charted coaches.

China has evacuated an overwhelming majority of its citizens from Libya, according to the latest information from the Foreign Ministry released Tuesday.

As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, China has altogether pulled out about 32,000 nationals from Libya, 9,000 of whom were back in China, roughly 21,000 were in a third country, while 2,100 were on their way back to a third country.
