The first Dongguan-made recreational vehicle (RV) will be unveiled in Songshan Lake (SSL) this May. Also the first RV town in China featured by 'RV life' will debut in Songshan Lake on October 1st, which will mark the beginning of the vehicle industry development in Dongguan.
The Dongguan industrial base of the China Minmetals Corporation, one of the world's top 500 enterprises is planning to commence operation in SSL in March. Its annual productivity is forecast to reach 80,000 units. The first RV made in Dongguan is to finish production in May.
According to Xiang Hong the General Manager of the China Minmetals Corporation, China Minmetals is to establish 80 RV towns throughout China, and the first one will be built in Songshan Lake by October 1st, 2010. By 2011, 10 RV towns will be built in Guangdong Province.
Minmetals has selected SSL after careful consideration. Xiang said that Dongguan has a mature industrial basis to support the RV industry particularly with regard to the RV's components, equipments, materials and techniques.
From mid-February to February 28, there will be group of special villas exhibited at the entrance of Songshan Lake. Each villa is about 10 meters long, four meters high, with living room, bed room, kitchen and washroom to make it a comfortable "home", also called recreational vehicles (RV). You can find several wheels below to make it a 'mobile home'. The RV can bring people another kind of life the ability to drive the mobile villa for camping in the open air while the villa itself can satisfy all your daily needs.
