July 17, the China's urban scientific development citizen satisfaction survey results cum China urban scientific development forum was held at the National People's Congress Centre, 10 cities including our city, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Zhongshan and Dalian were awarded the title of "City with People's satisfaction". Vice Mayor Cao Xiangnong on behalf of our city received the award in Beijing.
Cao Xiangnong said early in 2008 the city made the "Decision on speeding up construction and scientific development of "City to benefit people"", and clearly defined the goal of building a city to benefit people characterized by living and working in peace and contentment, prosperity and happiness, harmony and elegance. It is one of the cities throughout the country early introducing the "livelihood finance" idea, and spends more than 70% of the newly increased financial resources on people's livelihood and new rural construction. Last year, the financial livelihood input of our city accounted for 58.4% of the general budget expenditures. It continues with input into people's livelihood, to ensure the steady improvement of public services, and gradually form a long-term mechanism to benefit people's livelihood.
