Yesterday, the 2010 Guangdong-Taiwan economic and trade exchange meeting was opened in Jiangmen City, Vice Mayor Cao Xiangnong led the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Foreign Economic Cooperation and Trade Bureau and Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office, the Municipal Taiwan Businessmen Association and 30 responsible persons of Taiwanese companies to participate in the meeting.
It is reported that the exchange meeting is an important supporting activity to the cross-strait trade and cultural forum. At the meeting, the enterprises of our city signed for 10 foreign investment projects, with investment of 131 million U.S. dollars. The exchange meeting also includes the project negotiation and consultation and a number of special events, including the financial, logistics and tourism cooperation and development seminar, the cross-strait LED industry development and technological innovation summit, and the Guangdong-Taiwan modern agriculture cooperation and development conference, etc.
