Sun Lamei from NCEPU Ranked the First in the Female s Half-Marathon
The 2010 Beijing Marathon was affected by the severe weather---continuous rainwater, fifth to sixth grade gale and low temperature of minus ten degree, which all have been preventing athletes from running forward. Sun Lamei, aged below 20, was allowed only to take part in the half marathon, which seemed to be a pity for her. However, with full enthusiasms and good condition, Sun won the game and earned honor for our university.
For a long time, leaders of NCEPU have shown great concern and support for the selection and cultivation of high-level athletes, and have provided a good platform for the development of high-level competitive sports. With support and coordination from the Dean s Office, Students Affairs Office, Finance Department and other relevant departments and schools, the Department of Physical Education (DPE) follow diligently the guiding principle of establishing a high-level sports team and work in unity and with determination. While paying much attention to the athlete s quality, DPE also attaches importance to absorbing high-level athletes flexibly, bringing high-quality enrollment. At the same time, it stresses the cooperation and communication with local teams and industrial sports association to improve the competitive level of athletes. The school spirit Perseverance, Solidarity, Devotion, Eminence is well demonstrated by the athletes tenacious struggles and courage.
Congratulate beforehand that our athletes will fight more vigorously and make better achievements in the following games.
