CUC Hosts Summer Course of Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico

On the morning of June 16, the opening ceremony of the third summer course of Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico sponsored by our university was held in the Inner Mongolia Hotel.

President Assistant Liu Liqun made a speech, expressing a warm welcome to the students and teachers from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico for participating in the summer course. Prof. Liu introduced the development of academic disciplines in our university to the participants. At the same time, she recalled the friendly exchanges between our school and Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, hoping that the two sides could have more understanding and co-operation.
Li Huailiang, the chairman of the Media Management School introduced the general situation of the school, and welcomed the students and teachers from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico to the Media Management School for communication.
Zhang Yanqiu, the deputy director the International Exchanges and Cooperation Office presided over the opening ceremony and presented the detailed arrangements for the courses. According to the arrangement, the Central American University teachers and students will learn about Chinese policies, regulations and development of trade, market, media economic management.
Professor Frederick Vega, the delegation leader of University of Puerto Rico, Central America, expressed thanks for our arrangement and hospitality to host the summer course. Garth Retiro, a teacher from the visiting group, said that facing the current financial crisis, the Central American University students would learn more about Chinese culture, media economic policies and economic development of Chinas economy through the summer training courses.
This Business Summer School for the University of Puerto Rico, Central America, was co-hosted by the Media Management School and the International Media Exchanges and Cooperation Office, and they had held two successful terms in 2007 and 2008 respectively. A total of 18 students led by three teachers participated in this training. Here, they will visit our school s facilities and carry out exchanges with teachers and students in the Media Management School.
