On the afternoon of Nov. 12, Vice-President Lv Rui met a delegation headed by Professor Petford , Vice-Chancellor of Bournemouth University .

The main purpose of this visit was to discuss and explore the items concerning opening Summer School jointly to the graduates, carrying out collaboration of 1+1 Project, and working together to establish IMBA brand, etc..
During the meeting, Vice-President Lv Rui mentioned that opening Summer School jointly would contribute to extend students exchange scope and strengthen the two universities in-depth collaboration; the 1+1 Project would promote the two universities comprehensive strength of academic research. Presently, New Media Institute has carried out cooperation and exchange in relevant areas with Bournemouth University, and will continue to broaden the cooperation and exchange areas. Vice-Chancellor Petford suggested that the development of modern higher education need cooperative parties to strengthen the in-depth collaboration across fields, and he advised to strengthen the collaboration in academic fields such as engineering. Vice-President Lv agreed with those perspectives.
When speaking of cultivating IMBA talents, Vice-President Lv primarily made a presentation of the establishment of MBA School, CUC and the education goal of MBA, that is, to cultivate advanced elites for business administration in the fields of government, industry, culture, media, etc.. The two sides reached a primary consensus on the issues of assisting Bournemouth University to train advanced IMBA elites, etc..

Bournemouth Universitys origin can be traced to the early 20th century. There are seven schools: the Business School, School of Design, School of Engineering & Computing, School of Finance and Law, School of Health & Social Care, the Media School, and the School of Services Management, etc.. Its course setting has been always keeping pace with the times and the social needs. As a result, the University is amongst the leaders in the UK for graduate employment. The number of students at BU has risen to over 14,000, including more than 700 international students from over 80 countries.
