Vice President Ding Junjie Meets Ye Mingde, Dean of College of Journalism and Communication of Chinese Culture University

On the morning of December 16th 2009, Vice President Ding Junjie met Professor Ye Mingde, who visited Communication University of China (CUC) as the Dean of College of Journalism and Communication of Chinese Culture University (PCCU) in Taiwan.

First of all, Vice President Ding Junjie welcomed Prof. Ye and his group. Then they exchanged views on the academia of Cross-Straits Journalism and Communication and the industry s development, and reviewed the communication history between CUC and PCCU . Dean Ye presented the development history and current situation of PCCU to Ding Vice President Junjie, and also the studying and practicing situation of graduate and doctoral students of CUC in PCCU during the latest three years. Dean Ye gave a fully affirmation to the students of CUC about their professional quality and academic level.
Vice President Ding pointed it out that in PCCU Journalism and Communication has a deep academic foundation and a high reputation. CUC and PCCU both have so broad cooperation space that they should further strengthen substantive cooperation.
Dean Ye said, to strengthen the cooperation and promote the communication among teachers and students from CUC and PCCU, and to share the academic resources, Chinese Culture University will send a university-level delegation to have a second visit to CUC next year, and sign two academic exchanges and cooperation agreements.
After the meeting, Dean Ye visited School of Animation and Cultural Industry Research Institute.
President Assistant Liu Liqun; Hu Zhifeng, Director of Arts Research Department; Lei Yuejie, Secretary of the Party of School of Television and Journalism; Zhang Lili, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office Director; Li Fenghui, School of Presentation Art; Wang Qin, Media and Womens Studies Center attended the meeting.
Chinese Culture University, located on Yangming Mountain, in Shihlin District of Taipei in Taiwan, was established in 1962. Among the private universities in Taiwan, it currently has the largest collection of books. It has 12 colleges of about 27,000 students.
