Mary Anne Saunders, International Affairs Director of Kent State University, USA, visits CUC

On the afternoon of May 17th, 2010, a KSU delegation led by Dr. Mary Anne Saunders, the Executive Director of the International Affairs Office of Kent State University (KSU) in United States, came to visit Communication University of China (CUC) with her delegation. President Assistant Liu Liqun had a talk with the delegation.

During the talk, President Assistant Liu welcomed Professor Saunders s visit and introduced the academic settings, advantaged subjects and the progress of the International League of Higher Education in Media and Communication initiated by CUC. President Assistant Liu hoped to further expand the fields of cooperation and exchanges between KSU and CUC on the basis of both universities MBA cooperation project. Director Saunders represented that because of the similarities in fields of study between the two universities, she believed that the two universities could cooperate in journalism and communication and many other fields. The two sides exchanged views on matters focused on the cooperation project of Master and Doctor on Business Administration of School of MBA, student and the faculty exchanges.
After the meeting, the delegation visited School of Animation of CUC and watched their works showing the great creativity of students and teachers, which left deep impression on the delegation.
Dr. Li Na, the Director of the China Representative Office of KSU, accompanied Director Mary Anne Saunders to come to visit. Attending the meeting from CUC were Dean Assistant Wang Dong of School of MBA and Zhang Yanqiu, the Deputy Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Department and so on.
Kent State University was founded in 1910. It is one of the first batches of American century-long universities which were approved and recommended by the Ministry of Education of China, and also one of the United States largest local education systems. The university has about 35,000 students enrolled, more than 270 undergraduate programs, 55 master and 22 doctor major courses. Over years, the Princeton Review let Kent come to be known (acknowledged KSU) as the one of the "Best Midwestern College".
