Prof. Tom Hollihan, Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, USC visits CUC

On the morning of May 27th, Prof. Tom Hollihan, from Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, University of Southern California (USC) visited Communication University of China (CUC). President Assistant Liu Liqun had a talk with him.

During the talk, President Assistant Liu Liqun welcomed the arrival of Prof. Hollihan, reviewed the exchange and collaboration between Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism and CUC in recent years, and engaged in an in-depth exchange of views mainly on the two cooperative intentions proposed by Prof. Hollihan during this visit. First, a group of international mobile undergraduates of USA will hopefully arrive in CUC in July, 2011 for exchange. Secondly, the two sides would jointly organize Sino-US senior media training program in 2011, and a promotion plan had been confirmed for the next step work. Besides, the two sides held talks on the possibility of joint talents training and other cooperative programs.
Prof. Tom Hollihan is a senior professor of Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, USC, who had been Vice-Dean of this school before 2007, and he is a famous American scholar on political communication and campaign communication, as well as Chairman of Debating Society of America. Prof. Hollihan visited CUC in May, 2009 and made a speech about media and America s general election.
