Tasly Uganda Officially Opened

August 16, 2008, Tasly Uganda held Opening ceremony which marked its official open. General Salim Saleh, Micro-finance Minister of Uganda, Mr. Zhang aiming, Economic and Commercial Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Uganda, officials from the Health Ministry, the National Drug Authority and Uganda National Bureau of Standards, Congressmen, representatives of local mainstream media, and some 200 Tasly distributors were invited to the ceremony.

The ceremony began with the national anthem of Uganda at 11 am and the ribbon was cut afterwards by Minister Salim Saleh together with Counselor Zhang Aiming and Tasly Uganda Manager Wu Fenghua.

Manager Wu then made a greeting speech to the participants. In the speech, he gave a brief about overseas development of Tasly and the previous development and planning of Talsy Uganda. He promised that Tasly Uganda would make efforts to make contribution to promote the local health condition and provide more employment opportunities. The manager also expressed the company s hope to strengthen cooperation with the local government, especially projects with regards to health, and play an active role in public programs sponsored by the local government.

The ceremony continued with speeches made by Dr. Mugisha Charles, a famous Ugandan nutritionist, Mr. Edward Ochom, the local police commissioner and a representative of product users, and distributor representative Madam Helen respectively on three topics concerning the necessity of food supplements, personal experience with TCM health products, and Tasly Business creates employment opportunities. Their speeches won rounds of applause and inspired the passion of the distributors for work.

Micro-finance Minister Salim Saleh said in his address that the Ugandan government had been paying great attention to its relationship with China. He said that strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the two countries would do favor to both countries, especially the economic growth of Uganda, and the Ugandan government would open its door to outstanding Chinese enterprise like Tasly to invest in the country.

After his address General Salim Saleh presented tickets for the Olympic Games in Beijing with flight tickets to excellent distributors and wished them a safe journey.

This ceremony which marked the official establishment of Tasly Uganda was reported by NTV, the largest TV station in Uganda, New Vision, the most popular newspaper, and other major media.
