Evergrande Won the China Charity Award , the Highest Award in the Chinese Charity Field for 3 Consecutive Years

There were only 6 persons qualified for the Individual Prize in the whole country, and Evergrande, one of the Chinese enterprises with the most charitable contribution amount, had won this honor for 3 consecutive years.

The outcome of the China Charity Award , the highest government charity award organized by the National Ministry of Civil Affairs, was unveiled on April 9^th. On that morning, Hui Liangyu, member of the Communist Party s Politburo and Vice Premier of the State Council, and Li Xueju, Secretary and Director of the Party Leadership Group of Ministry of Civil Affairs, kindly met the representatives attending the Chinese Charity Conference in Zhongnanhai, and delivered important speeches. Prof. Xu Jiayin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Evergrande Real Estate Group, won the honor of the "China Charity Award for the Most Caring Charitable Giving Individual", and met and shook hands with Premier Hui Liangyu in the first row. It s reported that Evergrande Real Estate Group has won this honor for 3 consecutive years since 2007, and has become one of the leading enterprises actively performing civil obligations and actively involved in charity in the country.

China Charity Award aims to praise the public charitable spirit such as relieving the people in disaster, holding the old by the arm, helping the disabled, rescuing the orphans, helping the poor, aiding study, aiding medical treatment, and supporting culture and art and environmental protection. After the nomination by the Appraisal Office of China Charity Award organized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the real-name vote by the public, the appraisal and discussion by all walks of life, and the finial appraisal by the Appraisal Committee from the 582 qualified candidates, there were 53 resulting prizes in total for individuals, enterprises and charitable items, among which, there were only 6 persons qualified for the Individual Prize in the whole country.

Prof. Xu Jiayin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Evergrande Real Estate Group, is generally acknowledged to be deserved for this honor of China Charity Award .

In 2009, Xu Jiayin made outstanding contributions to the attention to the people s livelihood. On July 2^nd, the Company worked together with China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, donated 30 million yuan at one time to develop the activity of Evergrande Million Parade for Charities , emergently aiding 10 categories of individuals facing exceptional poverty: the orphans, the old, the disabled, the farmers, the undergraduates, the intellectual, the patients, the peasant-workers, the teachers and the laid-off workers in the whole country, totaling over 10 thousand persons, for the purpose of appealing more enterprises to participate in charity through the charitable acts, which aroused strong social repercussions. The project completed to sponsor 13278 persons in a short period of 4 months.

In the NPC & CPPCC held in March this year, as the sole CPPCC reprehensive from enterprises, Prof. Xu Jiayin made a speech in the conferences with the theme of Arouse Enterprises Participation Enthusiasms to Promote the Development of Charities . His speech not only won the high recognition from the state leaders and all walks of life, but also gained the wide praises and earnest concerns from hundreds of media such as CCTV and Xinhua News Agency.

In terms of supporting the state sports undertakings, in April 2009, Xu Jiayin spent 20 million yuan to register the first professional volleyball club in the country Evergrande Volleyball Club. Lang Ping acted as the chief coach, and many Gold Generation players of Chinese Women Volleyball Team and the players of American Volleyball Team joined in one after another.

Soon afterwards, they gained the tremendous success in the league matches with 12 winning streaks towards A, creating a miracle for the Chinese volleyball world, and making precious attempts for the development of Chinese volleyball professionalism. Later on, Evergrande prepared to establish the Evergrande Women Volleyball Youth Team and Junior Team.

Lang Ping still acted as the chief coach, actively cultivating and transporting excellent talents for the national volleyball game.

At the end of 2009, at the critical moment of Guangzhou Football s trough, Xu Jiayin spent over 100 million yuan again to invest in the Guangzhou Football Club to help Guangzhou Football return its peak, aiming at creating a king team for Guangzhou football fans, cultivating more talents for the country, and contributing to Chinese Football to reach a higher step.
