Project commencement ceremony
The commencement ceremony for 1st Phase Project of Shizimen CBD was convened in Zhuhai City of Guangdong Province on June 28, 2010. This works, with a total investment of RMB 4 billion yuan, was contracted by Shanghai Baoye Construction Corp., Ltd. (SBC-MCC) on an EPC basis.
Distinguished guests and heads present at the event included: Vice Governor Lei Yulan of Guangdong Province; Vice Director-General Gao Yan from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macao; Economic Director Wang Bingxin from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong; Economic Director Zhou Zhikui from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macao; Gan Lin, Secretary of CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee & Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People s Congress of Zhuhai City; Chairman Yu Binglin of CPPCC Zhuhai Committee; Vice President Wang Xiufeng of MCC Limited; and Chairman Chen Ming of SBC-MCC. In addition, the attendees also included over 500 representatives from the relevant cooperative partners, organizations of the central and the provincial governments in Zhuhai, financial institutions, major enterprises of Zhuhai City, Huafa Group and the news medias.
The event was presided over by He Ningka, Standing Member of CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee & Executive Vice Mayor of Zhuhai Municipal Government. Vice Governor Lei Yulan of Guangdong Province made a speech at the ceremony.
At the event, a grand contract signing ceremony was held. President Li Guangning of Zhuhai Huafa Group signed the contracts with Chairman Chen Ming of SBC-MCC and the other six contractors, and agreements with relevant cooperative partners.
After the signing ceremony, Vice President Wang Xiufeng of MCC Limited delivered a keynote speech.
In warm applause, Lei Yulan, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, and Gan Lin, Secretary of CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee & Chairman of the Standing Committee of National People s Congress of Zhuhai City, pressed the start button of the actuating lever for the commencement of the 1st Phase Project of Shizimen CBD.
The complex of Shizimen CBD consists of various buildings for conference & exhibition, hotel and office. Upon completion, it will seem to be a Link of the City , which is featured by unique originality, all-around function and charming landscape. Overlooking the landmarks of Macao across the river, it will be established into a public building complex with international standard, as well as an international classic landmark in Zhuhai and Macao, and promote the development of the New Area of Zhuhai City.
