On 10 September 2007, with the price of RMB 150 million, CCCC First Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid of Section RY-DN5 of Nanjing Raoyue Highway (Nanjing Bypass Expressway). The core project is Qinhuai River Extra-large Bridge, which is 1765.3m long with dual three-lane. The main bridge, with a span of 240m, will adopt the technique of suspended-basket-grouting in the construction of continuous concrete box girder of variable section.
As a passing section of Shanghai-Chengdu National Main Road in Jiangsu province, Nanjing Raoyue Highway is an important part of the 2nd Nanjing Bypass Expressway, which connects with the south-end of Nanjing No. 3 Yangtze River Bridge. When completed, it will become the external traffic hinge in Nanjing.
