On October 1, CCCC Progress Inspection and Report Meeting of Taiyuan-Zhongwei-Yinchuan Railway to Ensure Railway Nodes and Being Open for Operation was held in Taiyuan City of Shanxi Province, when Vice President Chen Yun delivered the speech. This Meeting was aimed to further carry through and implement the speech spirit of Board Chairman Zhou Jichang on Remobilization Meeting of Taiyuan-Zhongwei-Yinchuan Railway, start up a new round of great battle, and ensure the realization of the goal that the railway will be open for operation in the year end.
Chen Yun carefully listened to the reports of the supervision teams of railway bureaus and the frontline headquarters with respect to the engineering image and progress, work deployment, existing problems and guarantee measures, and made overall deployment for the work in next step. He pointed out that the Ministry of Railway determined Taiyuan-Zhongwei-Yinchuan Railway as the great channel for coal transporting from west to east and planned to share the transportation of 20 million tons of coals in the next year, which has been elevated to the level of national strategic deployment, and the original plan that this Railway should be open for operation in the year end would not change, and this was a political task, which shall be completed by CCCC.
Nearly 50 persons participated in this meeting including the personnel responsible for Infrastructure Construction Department and Frontline Headquarters, and the members of the supervision teams of the participating railway bureaus.
