Commune by the Great Wall has been selected by Gayot, one of the world most influential travel guides, as one of "the 10 Best Boutique Hotels in the World".

"While aficionados of boutique hotels rate comfort and service at the top of their lists", says Gayot, "it can t be denied that they are also always on the lookout for a place that will blow their minds... while offering private butler service at the same time, of course." "The 12 super contemporary residences at Commune by the Great Wall were designed by Asia s top architects (the models are on permanent display at Centre Pompidou). Notables include the six-bedroom Bamboo Wall and three-story Distorted Courtyard. The finishing touch: sweeping views of the Great Wall."

The prize winning commune has received thousands of distinguished guests across the world since its formal opening in October, 2002. Recent guests have included Hollywood actress Rene Zellweger, director Anthony Minghella and Hong Kong celebrity designer Flora Cheong, as well as companies such as Shiseido, Mont Blanc, Louis Vuitton, Missoni, Nokia, Microsoft, Sony-Erricsson, Philips, Coco-Cola, Epson and Porsche.
