AP1000 Leading Nuclear Power Assembly Industry Route Map

Current world regards the nuclear power development as key part of energy development, to develop the clean energy has become the common understanding of more and more nations. On June 2nd, the first localized AP1000 reactor pressure vessel commenced the manufacturing smoothly by China First Heavy Industries (Hereafter called CFHI ), this means our country had moved forward one step to realize independence on nuclear power technology equipment.

As we known, this reactor pressure vessel manufactured by CFHI is the first localized AP1000 reactor pressure vessel, this stands for the highest level of world s nuclear power equipment manufacturing, and this is a landmark and milestone in Chinese nuclear power development history.

Nuclear power assembly layout has embryonic form

This year, from the condition of nuclear power advantage and state macroscopic readjustment and control, nuclear power industry has come into rapid development rail and this has become a natural consequence. Now, 4 units of AP1000 cooperated with America has come into production phase.

Until now, under the promotion of relevant policy, China had already built Shanghai, Haerbin and Sichuan three nuclear power equipment production bases.

One former responsible person from China National Nuclear Corporation pointed out that, except a small number of equipments such as main pump, digital instrument control system, China has most of capacity of designing and manufacturing one-mega kilowatt class pressurized water reactor nuclear power unit, the assembly equipment capacity is increasing gradually.

For nuclear power equipment layout, CFHI built and completed large scale casting and forging production base at Dalian Mianhua Island, Shenyang Blast Fan (Group) Co., Ltd added nuclear-grade pump machining equipment to construct the test facility.

Technical revamp and production base construction scale of these three groups are all performed according to annually provide two or more units of one-mega kilowatt nuclear power plant equipment. The building of these three bases has capacity of annually providing 6 units or more one-mega kilowatt nuclear power plant equipment.

As known, compared with 2nd generation nuclear power units, AP1000 applies passive driven technology, simplified the safety system, and improved reliability. Its core melting probability and probability of a great many of radioactivities emerge to the environment is around 1% of 2nd generation nuclear power units.
