On Nov. 22-25, the "Western China----Ho Chi Minh City Commodities Expo. & Forum", co-sponsored by Chengdu Bureau of Foreign Economy and Trade and Ho Chi Minh Municipal Dept. of Feeign Economy and Trade, was grandly staged off in the first largest City of Vietnam, HO Chi Minh City. The purpose of this Expo. is to display the appreciable enterprise images and superior products of western China to the government and people of Vietnam, to tighten up the economic communication and cooperation of Sino-Vietnam. Meanwhile it provides a great opportunity for the enterprises of western China to get to know the Vietnam and seek for business opportunities. Tongwei Co., Ltd., as the largest feed & aquaculture enterprise and a crucial production base of livestock feed in China, has long been looking for the opportunities for oversea investment and development. The manager of development Dept., Li Gaofei, Feng Eryuan of technology center, and Li Zhiqiang of Dept. of marketing etc. attended this grand meeting.
The exposition was curtained up on Nov. 22 and attracted numerous Vietnamese government officials and enterprise representatives. Most remarkably, the traditional decorating style of Tongwei' booth with strong red visual sense, in additional of the fancy propagandizing pictures, attracted the gazes of most visitors.
During the Expo., the vice minister of Ministry of Industry of Vietnam, vice chairman of Ho Chi Minh City, and Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh etc. were accompanied by the head of Chinese delegation, vice mayor of Chengdu City, He Shaohua to pay a special trip to visit the booth of Tongwei. The mayor He made an enthusiastic presentation about the rapid expanding competence and current developing situation of Tongwei Co., Ltd. The manager of Development Dept., Li Gaofei expressed the intention of Tongwei to invest in Vietnam and the oversea developing strategy of Tongwei Co., Ltd. The officials of Vietnam responded with warm welcome and strong support.
Throughout the exposition, a great deal of Vietnamese enterprises and Chinese tradesmen investing or having invested in Vietnam, came to visit Tongwei in the result of its introduction via media. After enquiring of the specific situation of Tongwei and its investment intention, a number of them expressed their desires for cooperation at once.
