The Garden Party of the 21st Dalian International Fashion Festival kicked off in Dalian Labor Park. With Dalian Labor Park as the main venue for the activity, the party will also take place in other parks such as the Tiger Beach Ocean Park, Forest Zoo, Yanwoling Wedding Park, Fujiazhuang Park, Charm of the Sea Square and Dalian Botanical Garden. The Garden Party will end on September 8.
As one of the thematic activities of the Fashion Festival, the Garden Party has been held successfully 16 times. With more parks for the activities, longer times and broad citizens participation, people love the party. There will be different settings along with different features for each venue, highlighting the event with fashion culture and combining exhibitions of flowers, fashion and accessories, art performances, square performances and self-amusement activities. All of these will fully present the charm of the Fashion Festival and allow people to enjoy themselves in the festival.
For the fashion feature of the Garden Party, there will be a series of showcases and performances: Fashion & Accessories Exhibition of Ethic Groups Korean, Uygur, Dai, Qiang, Mongol and Tibetan nationalities; Fashion Model Shows both professional and amateur models from Vladivostok and Khabarovskiy of Russia and Dalian City will show up on the same stage; some other artistic performances: singing and dancing, folk art, acrobatics and Beijing opera; a "Red Song" Concert; Children s Drawing Contest and Northeast YangGe Performance.
A series of wedding activities, I Want to Be a Bride , co-sponsored by the Dalian Women s Association, the Dalian Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Dalian Municipal Bureau of Tourism, the Dalian Urban Construction Bureau, the Dalian City Wedding Association, the Association for Folk Culture Promotion and DLTV , are scheduled from 10:00-18:00 beside the lotus pool in Dalian Labor Park, together with a Showcase of Bridal Wedding Gowns for Newlyweds, Golden and Silver Weddings; a Wedding Show, a Matchmaking, lantern riddles and treasure hunts.
In the Tiger Beach Ocean Park, there will be marine animal stunts; in Forest Zoo, performances of terrestrial animals gorillas and black bears; in Yanwoling Wedding Park, wedding activities; in Fujiazhuang Park and Charm of the Sea Square, novelty races on the sand beaches; and in Dalian Botanical Garden, a fishing contest.
