At the invitation of Changchun City, Mr. Vladimir Shevlyakov Nikolaevichi, Executive Deputy Mayor of Krasnoyarsk, Capital City of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, and his delegation arrived in Changchun. Mr. Sui Zhongcheng, Member of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Changchun, met the delegation at Shangri-La Hotel late evening on November 2, 2010.
During the meeting, Mr. Sui Zhongcheng, on behalf of Changchun Municipal People s Government, extended his welcome to the delegation, saying: China and Russia enjoy a long history of friendship. The friendly exchanges between Changchun and Krasnoyarsk will promote the mutual development of the two sides.
I suggest the two cities should strengthen exchanges and cooperation in such fields as economy, trade, science, technology, culture and agriculture, and establish a platform for coordination and communication. On the basis of signing a friendly agreement, the two sides should also develop sister city relationship.
Young people are the future of the two countries, so the communication between them is very important. I hope the friendly exchanges between the young people of our two cities can be strengthened.
