The Ninth Changchun Agricultural Fair Successfully Concluded

The 12-day ninth China Changchun International Agriculture ? Food Exhibition (and Trade) Fair was successfully concluded in Changchun Agri-Expo Garden on August 29. 1.53 million exhibitors and participants took part in the fair, 107 projects were contracted, with contract amount equivalent to 14.5 billion yuan, the on-site trade volume reached 620 million yuan, the number of exhibitors that received orders accounting for 39.

It has great popularity and large scale, which are seldom seen in China. During the fair, more than 600 large domestic buyers and multinational buyers and 21 government delegations participated; the exhibitors that had participated in China Agricultural Fair last year took the initiative in applying for participation, and the farmers spontaneously participated in the fair, so that the number of participants still reached 1.53 million in spite of the impact of the floods. The total exhibition area was 1,060,000 square meters, including 270,000 square meters of exhibition hall area and 790,000 square meters of exhibition open area, the highest record in history, reaching the international agricultural exhibition leading level.

It is rich in content, broad in covering and distinct in features. On the basis of the original displayed categories in the previous fairs, this Fair innovatively arranged the high-tech facility agriculture exhibition, the leisure fruit tree exhibition, the Clivia cultivation exhibition and other display plates, with new products, new equipment, new technology, new achievements and new landscape emerging one after another, and demonstrated specialty agriculture, leisure agriculture, tourism agriculture, urban agriculture and other development models, with distinctive features and strong guidance, providing a model for farmers to seek for industrial development, to meet farmers needs for production and living.

The major events made innovation and breakthroughs to a new level. This Fair was added by the Jilin corn festival. 6 exhibition events, 3 contest events, 3 fun entertainment events and 2 publicity and promotional events of the corn festival were rich and colorful, becoming another highlight of the Fair. On the basis of previous fairs, the seventh Dehui Green Food Festival, with highlighting projects as the main content, signed 16 projects, with the total investment of 4.88 billion yuan, achieving the highest record. In the Changchun Ten Outstanding Young Farmer Award activity, the young farmers wearing red silk ribbons and red flowers pinned on the dress attended the opening ceremony and actively donated to the affected people, fully demonstrating the elegance of Changchun farmers.
It is rich in cultural atmosphere, with colorful cultural activities. At the rural fire safety exhibition site, CCTV s "Between Cities" carried out the thematic activity of "cities ""Between Cities" going into Changchun", in which nearly 2,000 domestic and foreign friends actively took part, fully demonstrating Changchun s city culture and safety awareness. The Jilin Dongfeng farmer painting exhibition displayed 125 fine works full of excellent traditional culture of Guangdong and rich folk customs of the North.
