The Chairman of Dongcheng District Tourism Administration Met The Osaka Tourism Exchange Bureau Joint Visiting Delegation

The Chairman of Dongcheng District Tourism Administration Met The Osaka Tourism Exchange Bureau Joint Visiting Delegation Recently, Li Xue Min, chairman of Dongcheng District Tourism Administration met the Osaka Tourism Exchange Bureau joint visiting delegation.
An introduction of Dongcheng District and the current development of the tourism industry were given by the chairman.
Dongcheng District has more than 100 tour agencies, per capita GDP exceeding US$19,000 and it possesses great purchasing power; After the merging of the former Chongwen District to form the current Dongcheng District, the Forbidden city and the Temple of Heaven, two world-class cultural heritages were housed in the region, enhancing its tourist attraction.
The Osaka Tourism Promotion Delegation was formed by various organizations such as the International Relations and Tourism Division, Osaka Promotion Bureau Department of Civic and Cultural Affairs Osaka Prefectual Government, the Osaka Prefecture s Airport Strategy Office of Policy Planning Department, the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau and Kansai International Airport Co. Ltd. The head of the delegation expressed that the short visit opened their eyes to Dongcheng District s numerous historical, cultural and tourism resources, such as Wangfujing, the residences of old Beijing and its unique Siheyuan (Chinese quadrangle courtyards). The Osaka government hoped to strengthen interaction with Beijing and Dongcheng District, attracting more Beijing residents to Osaka for their tour.
Later, chairman Li Xue Min expressed her delight at the recent Japanese government s easing of visa restrictions for Chinese nationals traveling to Japan. Both parties could make use of the Third Culture and Tourism Festival of Imperial Palace as a platform to promote the uniqueness of their tourist attractions, in the hope of creating the opportunity for more Chinese citizens to have a better understanding of Osaka and for Chinese citizens traveling to Osaka Prefecture to reach new record levels.
