18th May 2010 (Morning), district Mayor Yang Yi Wen Met Professor Walter Meyer, counselor of the Embassy of Switzerland in China, and Professor Wang Li Yan person-in-charge of the China Low-Carbon City Program. The guests gave district mayor Yang an update on the latest developments and preparations for the China Low-Carbon City Program. District Mayor Yang in turn, gave the guests an introduction of the Dongcheng District establish a low-carbon district, develop a green society action plan (2010-2012) , which includes the status of the implementation to develop a low-carbon district. Expressing her support for the Embassy of Switzerland s organization of the China Low-carbon City project launch conference on 3rd June, leaders of the respective departments will give speeches on the theme and take part in discussions to strengthen cooperation in the establishment of low-carbon districts. Leaders from the Beijing Dongcheng Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, Dongcheng Productivity Council and Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality (Dongcheng District) were also present at the meeting.
