On July 28, 2009, the Eighth National Editor Seminar of the Academic Sports Journal was held at NUC.
Tian Ye, Director of the Research Institute, the State General Administration of Sports, Yang Fenglou, Director of the Shanxi Provincial Bureau, were present at the meeting. Over 100 editors and sports research workers attended the meeting.
Tian Ye stressed that Beijing Olympic Games had great role on promoting the sports science and the successful application of the research results on the Olympic Games and competitions was obvious. He spoke highly of the sports scientific researches in China. Meanwhile, he thinks that the improvement of the scientific researches of people promoted the sports academic journal and the number of high level papers, the features and internationalization of the journals should be enhanced in the future. During the three days seminar, the attendants had hot discussions on sports academic journals.
