Silver Award at the 18th JEANSWEST Leisure Wear Design Contest for Department of Textiles & Clothing

The final round of the 18th JEANSWEST Leisure Wear Design Contest (JEANSWEST Fashion Award) was held at 789 central hall in Beijing, 7th November. Wang Jiayao, Xu Dingcheng from Class 4, Grade 06 of Art Design, Department of Textiles & Clothing Manufacture, with the 2nd Price of the South Area, fought their way through the final and finally won the Silver Award and Best Market Potential Award with there fashionable and exceptional work Searching , winning the reward money of RMB 28,000.

The contest was co-hosted by China Fashion Association, China National Garment Association and JEANSWEST International (HK) CO., Ltd. and co-sponsored by China Textile & Apparel Education Society, Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association. 5645 pieces of work competed in the contest, but only 20 of them from all levels of institutes around the nation reached the grand final through fierce competition. The distinctive result achieved by the two students of our university is another breakthrough on the field of fashion design of the Department, and again shows the talent of our students.
