HZU Held a Symposium with Teachers Who Attended Bilingual Training in New Zealand

Sixteen teachers were sent to New Zealand Institute of Technology for bilingual training during the summer break. On the afternoon of 6th September, President Yang Haitao hosted a symposium about this training in Room 202 of the Administrative Building.

During the meeting, the 16 teachers who had gone abroad spoke freely about higher education in New Zealand, such as the teaching approach, methods, online learning, assessment of higher education, and courses offered. The internationalization of higher education, the original courses offered, and the benign work ethic left a strong impression on them. Our teachers expressed that they had also learned a great deal.

In the meeting, President Yang made a speech announcing that this training trip was meant to broaden teachers horizons and give them a chance to experience the schooling atmosphere of a foreign university. In order to improve HZU s level of characteristic schooling, he also said, HZU will enhance its international schooling endeavors and increase the number of foreign teachers, opportunities for scientific cooperation, bilingual teaching, and student-exchange programs.
