Commencement and Degree Conferring Ceremony of International Students Staged

The Commencement and Degree Conferring Ceremony of International Students Grade 2006 was staged on January 14, 2011 at SDUST Qingdao campus. Vice-President Jin Fengxiang conferred diploma and bachelor s degree to 39 graduates of mechatronic and communications engineering from Pakistan. 8 graduates received Honors Student certificates.

Also attending the ceremony were senior staffs from the school s Teaching Affairs Department, Office of Academic Degree Evaluation Committee, College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, College of Information and Electrical Engineering. The ceremony was presided over by Li Ping, Director/Dean of the International Office/College.

Vice-President Jin, on behalf of the University, extended his congratulations to the graduates and his thanks to the faculty and staff. He stated that there has been traditional friendship between China and Pakistan, and now economic, cultural and trade ties keep growing. In the past four years, the graduates not only worked hard at professional knowledge to enrich themselves, but also participated many kinds of campus and community activities to experience Chinese culture.

They added splendor to Keda campus. He wished them to set up the concept of lifelong learning to meet future challenges and to realize personal values.
