Zhengzhou Er qi Cup the 1^st Women s Trousers Design Competition of China rang down the curtain at the International Exhibition Center, Zhengzhou, Henan recently. Wang Peiya, the sophomore majoring in fashion design of School of Apparel, together with her sister Wang Yapei, won bronze medal by their work Fantasizing .

Fantasizing is inspired from the sisters love for jeans. Wang Peiya understands and interprets trousers fashion in this way: Whenever I paint, unconsciously, I drop rich colors here and there. It s their color. It s the color of the world. To drop colors here, I actually stay in my youth. To fantasize the future and to enjoy the freedom.

It is reported that the competition is sponsored by China National Garment Association, the People s Government of Zhengzhou and jointly undertaken by Er qi District People s Government, Zhengzhou Information Industry Commission, TA Weekly and Henan Garment Trade Association. 815 works received from competitors from 25 provinces and municipalities as well as from Italian and French enterprises and academies represent the highest level of women s trousers design in today s China.
