XJTLU Holds Third International Workshop on Advanced Computational Intelligence

XJTLU, China 25th August, 2010 Xi an Jiaotong-Liverpool University held the Third International Workshop on Advanced Computational Intelligence. Executive President Prof Xi Youmin addressed welcome speech to all conference participants and briefly introduced achievements that the University has reached recently.

IWACI 2010 received total 272 submissions. After reviews and selections, 130 high-quality papers were accepted. The papers will be presented in three oral tracks and 1 poster track in parallel. In addition to the regular papers, the IWACI 2010 also includes 3 plenary speeches presented by three World-renowned scholars: Prof Marios M. Polycarpou, University of Cyprus; Prof Nikhil R. Pal, Indian Statistical Institute, India; and Prof Cesare Alippi, Politecnico Di Milano, Italy.

Over 60 scholars from more than 10 countries, including Australia, Swiss, Iran, Singapore, South Korea, etc. attended today s conference. They will discuss and exchange information on their research discoveries in the proceeding parallel sessions.

Professor Shi Yuhui, of Xi an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, is one of the two General Chairs of IWACI 2010. Professor Shi Yuhui is also the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Swarm Intelligence Research since December 2008.

The IWACI 2010 is the third of its series for researchers working on all aspects of computational intelligence to gather together. The next IWACI meeting will be held in Wuhan, China during October 19-21, 2011.
