Write: Rhodri [2011-05-20]
The graduation ceremony for students in the post-graduate education science program, jointly between Flinders and CNU, was held on May 15, 2008, at the International Hall of International Culture Building. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Gong Huili, College of International Education Dean Liu Xiaotian, Education Sciences College Dean Meng Fanhua and five Australian delegates, including Faith Trent, the Dean of Education, Humanities, Laws and Religion from Flinders. Other participants include family members and friends of the graduates.
The ceremony was chaired by Liu Xiaotian with speakers including Gong and Trent, who also handed master diploma and transcripts to graduates. A total number of 55 students graduated from the 2008 program, and it was the third batch of graduates from the CNU-Flinders joint program.
With the master degree in hands, graduates reviewed the experiences and moments in past years with both Chinese and Australian instructors, and the speech by graduate delegate Bai Xiaohuang is a perfect description of the feeling: after two years of hard study, I not only increased my knowledge base but also made improvements on all sides. With guidance from the teachers, I overcome a lot of difficulties to enjoy this moment, and I would like to thank all the teachers from China and Australia.
