First TUD/NPU Aerospace Workshop is Held at NPU

The first aerospace workshop jointly sponsored by NPU and Technical University of Delft (TUD), the Netherlands, was held on the NPU campus on Nov. 24, 2010. President Jiang Chengyu and the leaders from Office for International Cooperation, Graduate School and School of Aeronautics are present at its opening ceremony, which is chaired by Professor Li Huaxing from School of Aeronautics.

President Jiang extends his welcome to Professor Ridz, vice dean of School of Aerospace at TUD. He remarks that NPU attaches great importance to the multi-level cooperation between the two universities, hoping that the cooperation relations will be widened on the basis of the cooperation in the field of aerospace.

Professor Ridzsays that NPU is characteristic of aerospace and hopes that the exchange and cooperation between the two universities will be enhanced through this workshop. Two other professors from TUD present the aerospace research programs at TUD. Professors Song Bifeng and Li Yulong from School of Aeronautics present the research activities at their school.

The workshop discusses the overall design of flight vehicle, its structural mechanics, flap wing flight vehicle, slipstream experiments and other themes.
