Academician SHU Xingtian giving a talk Visiting the laboratory of CEE
On the afternoon of April 15, academician SHU Xingtian, the renowned scholar in petrochemical engineering, visited SCUT and had a discussion with President LI Yuanyuan in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (CEE).
In the discussion, responsible personnel of CEE introduced the general information of the School and reported the primary blueprint of SCUT's Petrochemical Technology Institute. SHU spoke highly of the academic level and industrialized achievements of CEE, and offered some suggestions to the development of the Institute.
After the conference, the guests visited the laboratories of CEE.
Facts about academician SHU Xingtian: Academician SHU Xingtian graduated from East China Institute of Chemical Engineering in 1964 and now serves as assistant Chief engineer and deputy director of the academic committee of Petrochemical Science Institute (PSI). He has long been involved in the research on development and industrial application of molecular sieve and was nominated as member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1999.
