On the afternoon of April 6, the opening ceremony of South China branch meeting session of the 16th University Student Film Festival was held in the Academic Hall of the south campus, SCUT. The mega-hit Kongfu movie IP Man was played during the conference, after which YE Weixin and HUANG Baiming interacted with the audience with a "question and answer" session in a cordial atmosphere.

After the opening ceremony, as the first stop in south China of the "digital movies itinerant exhibition among the country's universities", SCUT will put on such movies as The Warlords and Red Cliff (Part 1) to entertain movie fans on campus.
The 16th Beijing University Students Film Festival is having its grand opening ceremonies simultaneously in Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Chengdu, Jinan.

Approved by China's State Administration of Radio Film and Television, Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Party Committee, and sponsored by Beijing Normal University and Beijing Bureau of Radio and Television, the University Students Film Festival is a great movie festival with college students as its audience and judge. The Festival has been held for 15 sessions since 1993, with participation of over a hundred universities and more than 3 million college students.
