On the morning of July 3, the unveiling ceremony of SCUT-Education and Science & Technology Innovation Joint Center (ESTIJC) of Polytechnic Institute of New York University (PINYU) was held at Building B1 of South Campus.
On the ceremony, President LI Yuanyuan pointed out that SCUT, actively involved in international cooperation of high level and wide range in recent years, has carried out practical cooperation with over 100 world-renowned universities, scientific research institutes, and first-class enterprises, such as Purdue University, the University of Edinburgh and IBM.
The establishment of the captioned joint center could not only promote the strength complementarities of the two universities and improve scientific research and teaching level of SCUT, but also enhance the internationalization level of Guangdong Province and promote its economic and social development.
Cooperation projects of the two universities include 1+2+1 undergraduate double degree exchange program, 1+1+1 postgraduate degree exchange program, and ongoing undergraduate-graduate study program and 1+1 global enrollment double postgraduate exchange program.
