From May 6 to 8, 2010, the 5th China International Design & Art Fair (CIDF 2010) was held at Beijing Exhibition Center. Prizes such as International Lifetime Achievement Award of Design Art, Achievement Award of Design Art 2010, and Ten Cutting-edge Figures of Interior Design 2009, have been presented by the organizers including China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Architectural Society of China, International Association of Universities and Collages of Art Design and Media, and French Interior Design Association, etc.
Two most influential architects HE Jingtang and Tadao Ando, with their numerous outstanding designs, fully deserve the International Lifetime Achievement Award of Design Art.
It is reported that the theme of this year's fair is Share & Difference. Exhibitions of various design fields have been held, including Exhibition of Works by International Masters, Exhibition for Recommended Materials, Exhibition of Ten Designing Fields, Group Exhibition of International Outstanding Designs, and Theme exhibition of Works by Previous Awarded Architects. A dozen of international famous architects have come to Beijing for this fair, and several Pavilion designers of Shanghai World Expo were also present to share with the Chinese designers the process of designing the Pavilions.
