President of Taiwan University visits SCUT

On July 31, a delegation of Taiwan University, led by its president LI Sicen, visited South China University of Technology (SCUT). President LI Yuanyuan warmly received the guests and the two sides had a friendly talk.

President LI Yuanyuan introduced President LI Sicen the history of SCUT and the party paid a visit to some historic buildings. The father of President LI Sicen, graduating in 1940s, was an alumnus of SCUT and the family has its root in Henan Province. Therefore, President LI Yuanyuan presented President LI Sicen the report card of his father as a gift, and invited him to give a speech at SCUT when appropriate.
