On the evening of September 27, the opening ceremony of 2010 Techno-Cultural Festival was held in the Academic Hall of South China University of Technology (SCUT), South Campus. During the ceremony, a performance was presented by Guangzhou Ballet Troupe as the beginning of introducing fine art into campus.
With the kapok bursting into blossom, the logo for the festival rises steadily, and this symbolizes the beginning of the annual Techno-Cultural Festival. This festival, containing 8 parts, is to last for two months, and over 100 activities have got started since then.
After the ceremony, the dancers from Guangzhou Ballet Troupe put on a splendid ballet Don Quixote, which was divided into 4 scenes. During the performance, the students have enjoyed themselves and burst into applause from time to time. Everyone was moved by the glamour of the fine art and the ballet dancers. The activity of "Introduce fine art into the campus" is one of the most important campus activities, by which many first-rate arts groups and actors from home and abroad are to come to SCUT and demonstrate their talents.
